A mountain village, not a resort
El Ardinal is holiday accommodation made up of five apartments in restored traditional stone houses, in Barrio de Río, Arenas de Cabrales, between meadows and the limestone peaks of the Picos de Europa. The village centre, with its bakery, bars and shops, is a 9-minute walk away, no car needed.
Which one is yours?
All five have a full kitchen, a fireplace and somewhere outside to sit. Cares and La Casina are on two floors; Casaño, Duje and Ribeles are on one level inside, though you climb some stairs to reach the door.
Cares
For groups or families: two floors, two bedrooms and two bathrooms, each with their own space.
Casaño
For a couple: all on one level, with a small terrace and a patio just for you.
Casina
A whole house just for you: two floors, a panoramic porch and your own front door.
Duje
No fuss: all on one level, with a bedroom, full kitchen and a gallery with views.
Ribeles
For long mountain days: all on one level, with the best mountain views right outside the door.

Arenas de Cabrales is one of the gateways to Spain's first national park, declared in 1918. The Cares Trail and the path to Bulnes start nearby; the Covadonga Lakes and the coast at Llanes are an easy day trip.
Home of Cabrales cheese
You're in Cabrales PDO country, where this blue cheese matures in natural mountain caves. Around it: fabada, poured cider, cachopo and fish from the Cantabrian Sea. The apartment kitchen is for trying the cheese at home; the bars in Arenas are for everything else.
